Instill Science / What topics would you like to see discussed in a "Biobank Working Group"?

A few of us have tossed around the idea of discussing some ideas and topics around gathering requirements, protocols, how-to’s, and generally best practices for starting and running a phage and/or bacterial biobank.

At Phage Australia we’ve just given our lab fridges a re-haul and have created an itemization system. We’re now building a set of digital tools to keep track of our phage and bacterial samples.

We’d love to run a series of discussions and zoominar sessions to tackle topics in this space — including microbiology, technical (data science and genomics), and general things like material transfer agreements, best practices with shipping + handling + customs, Nagoya protocol, etc.

Please add your thoughts below!

I'm really interested in this from the managerial side. A LIMS or a system of documents that work as LIMS would be really useful, especially if it can also capture the information on shipping/customs and Nagoya protocol compliance.

Would be interesting to discuss "how to formulate the phages during recurrent bacterial infection?"
